I'm sure, unless you live under rock or at the bottom of a muddy pool, that you've heard about the World Cup. I', sure you're sick of those words by now. First, it was the rights ("Wa Lau, cannot watch world cup, sia. Kena die one lah"). Then, we got the rights, but the price was too...pricey ("wah, World Cup so ex, man. Never mind lah, go to fren house can also."). Now, it's about who is choosing who for the various teams. Honestly, what the hell's the big deal??
It comes once every four years. Countries play in it. It's basically the EPL with Ghana and Australia instead of Chelsea (yay) and Manchester United (ew). All the matches are at ungodly hours. And who care whether Theo Whatshisname can play or not? If he's good, he'll play. If not, then too bad. Seriously. Every single day, there are pages and pages and pages of reports, controversies and scandals long gone, but revived to hype people up. Stupid quotes have a pride of place as well. IF this is what it's like now, imagine what it'll be like when the damn thing actually starts? They'll need a whole other section for all the news.
My dad's supprting Honduras (no, i have no idea who they are either). I myself am a Germany fan (i'd support Singapore, but they didn't qualify). I'm not saying that i'm obsessed or anything. I just happen to answer Germany whenever someone asks me who i'm supporting. Not like I can even stay awake until whenever the matches start.
If you ask me, people are just mad about this competition because they've got nothing else to do, and they want another excuse to plonk themselves down in front of the television for hours on end.

To: Mark Wanton
My sincerest (un)apologies on the ruination of your race. I would just like to say that it was all your fault. Stop griping and blaming Sebastian Vettel. If you had moved-like Christian Horner politely yelled- everything would have been fine and you wouldn't have cost your team, not to mention TEAM MATE the race. If you don't believe me, go and watch the evidence on YouTube. Videos don't lie.
And, anyway, what the heck are you being so upset about? You got third; Seb DNF. You extended your lead; Seb slipped wayyy back in the Championship. And you have the gall to say that it wasn't your fault. Don't kid yourself, Mr.Wanton. EVERYBODY(with the exception of some sad deluded people whom I will not mention) knows it's all your fault. Just because you have zero overtaking skill, doesn't mean that you have any right to deny other people. He was going FASTER than you. He was BOUND to overtake you sooner or later. Why didn't you move? Either way, it would have still been a Red Bull one-two. Don't you think that you have had your fair share of wins this season? You're old. You're never going to win a World Championship. Don't let jealousy of MORE TALENTED PEOPLE stop you from doing the best for your team.

Here's Miley Cyrus's new video for her new single "Can't Be Tamed" (thanks to eonline.com)

Shocking right? It's practically a porn video. I mean, trying to get sexy with girls? Sprouting wings? What's up with that?
But you can't really fault her, I suppose. She's just trying to shed her Made-For-Tweens image. I mean, no one wants to be known as Hannah Montana forever, right.
This video will probably shock a lot of people because in everyone's eyes, she is Hannah Montana. If Lady Gaga did this, no-one would bat an eyelid. It would even seem tame. Because that's how Lady Gaga entered the market. A shameless, sexy, sick Lady. But Miley Cyrus entered the market as a sweet young thing with a country accent. So everyone's used to that. So when she does stuff like wear semi-revealing clothes, everyone will be like 'Whoa", because Hannah Montana does not wear stuff like that. Hannah Montana wears little crop jackets and pink blouses.
Because Miley Cyrus is synonymous with HM, peple expect her to do HM-ish stuff. And when she doesn't, OHMYGAWD. MILEY CYRUS HAS BECOME A PORN ACTRESS.

Justin Bieber. Say those words aloud in a street and at least half the girls there will start screaming. Question: why?
I am utterly mystified. I mean, what do they see in him. He's sixteen, and his voice hasn't broken yet. He's a short person, and he probably weighs less than i do. And yet the very sound of his crooning can send a girl to hysterics. And his songs- they are all topics which are waaay to mature for him. He sixteen. When has he ever know true love? And his music videos. They have a fixed format. He goes to a place, say a bowling alley, with a bunch of mates and tries to woo a girl about twice his age. Imaginative.
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Justin Bieber. I am just at a loss as to why anyone would shed tears just because he looked her way.
Will someone please explain?

I'm pretty bored right now and have had this weird urge to write here for ages so i thought, heck, why not? Now what i need is something to write about...
Have you ever known some people who you think are your friends, but when you think about it, are actually not? I'm sure everyone's had people in their lives whom they can talk to about stuff, but yet only the superficial?
When you first met them, you thought that they were awesome. You liked the same things, had similar personalities... but as time went by, you found that you could only talk about the same things, over and over again.. that you thought that you had discovered their deepest nature, but really only scratched the surface?
I'm sure everyone's felt out at least once in their life. If you have a big group, then it's easier. Side glances, uncomfortable body language, that secret eye-roll... usually, two girls will become friends, then the rest will just be props, there to make everyone think that you're still loved, still popular. I've seen cases where, there's a girl who thinks she's got the best friends in the whole wide world, but in reality, is just kidding herself. Her obsession, her undying devotion to this one girl is so blindingly obvious, except to her own self... she's bound to get hurt someday, and it's gonna hurt real bad...
I once knew a girl like that. I went around with her for a while, until I realized i was just a seventh wheel. I mean, to them, i was just another loyal member of their vast gang. The girls at the core- there were two- just used me to pass notes, as a substitute when someone else was not there. It took me a while to cotton on, and i finally did, and now I'm no longer friends with them. A smile, a friendly word, all that's fine. But, inside I know that I can't be friends with them... because we've been apart so long, they have their own ... identity. It's been firmly established, and no newcomer can adopt it as their own, because when they weren't around, it had already taken hold, and you're gonna have big chunks missing from your friendship because you don't understand certain things.
But, whatever. I'm not one of them. I'll live with that. I have other friends. They have their lives, I have mine. But sometimes, I wish that it would all go back to the way it was before. But even if it did, nothing would be the same... because everything would be different.

Well, the 2009 grammy nominations have been announced.....and (you will never believe this) Jonas Brothers fans rejoice! :  JoBros have been nominated for best new artist!!  Crazy innit?            Poor taylor swift, who hosted the ceremony, didn't get a single nomination! Neither did Miley Cyrus (no surprise there).

Sigh. I'm so sad. We got our class listings for next year today. I'm in the best class. But my best friend is not. I was so sad, i actually cried. Really.
I'll really miss my friend. She is one of the closest friends i have ever had, and one of the best people, in terms of character, i have ever met. Really. She is loyal and caring and always stands up for me when i am being wronged. I really value and cherish her friendship, and will miss her companionship when we are in different classes next year. Really.
Actually, she was supposed to be in my class. I know because i saw the register, and her name was first, but it was crossed out. I guess because there were not enough places in the class, so they took out the one with the lowest results.
Anyway, amid all this sadness, i must probably mention that i am going to india on a school trip today. Oh, and the school holidays start tommorow.
    Happy holidays everyone. Really.

Hi everyone! I know that i haven't written for like, eternity, so here i am!
I hope you guys like my playlist. my personal favourite is 'The Best Damn Thing' by Avril Lavigne. I think it's really catchy! Anyway, thanks for all the comments on my blog, t-rex and lovely(who are you!!!!!!!You gotta be from my class!!!!!!!!) and miley(no,lovely i don't think that she is hannah montana) and everybody else.
There's this new fad in my school called 'Twilight'. It's not a band or a movie, it's a book. Like i was saying, practically the whole word has it and i myself have fallen prey to it, and i have all four books with the exception of the third one (it's not in any of the stores!!!!wah!!!!!!!). And,ok, it sucks that i had to pay for them myself, but, hey, i had this whole stash of cash and really needed to spend it so i just went out and bought it.
Anyway, i can pretty much describe it in a sentence or two: It's about a girl who is in love with a vampire. And that's it, actually. Oh, and vampires stay the same age for all eternity. And you're probably wondering how this girl (bella) can stay with this boy-vampire (Edward) since vampires suck blood, and all. but the Cullens (Edward's 'family') are 'Vegetarian', and only feed on animal blood.(what's so vegetarian about that?). But the these carnivorous vampires come and try to eat bella and whatever so edward has to save the damsel in distress.
It's actually nice. And hear the last book (Breaking Dawn) has s** in it so,ew.
Ok, i have to go now..........to eat lunch. Toodles!

THIS IS SERIOUS. PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is an anonymous person posting mean stuff on Therese's, Jesslyn's and Rae's (see links) blogs. You might want to know some things about this person, so here is some stuff i have pieced together:
-Person says her name is Alex (might be lying)
-says she is in the top 2 classes ( which would be AM5 and BU5)
-is supposed to be therese's friend (though the are sort of on the skids......fighting, i guess)
-know's when rae's birthday is
-knows jesslyn is in AM5
-knows therese's, rae's and jesslyn's blog addresses( though i suppose the person only needs to know one person's address, the other two people will be linked) and,
-keeps calling people idiot and keeps teasing by saying 'bet you dun no who i am' and stuff like that
This is very bad. Cyber bullying (the person says she doesn't know what cyber-bullying is [she's being insolent]) is a serious issue. VERY serious. This grave matter is being investigated thoroughly, and i have a list of suspects, though i'm not accusing anybody..................YET.
I will keep you updated on any er, updates that will come up on this case.
Aleysa, over'n' out

Hello. This post is specially adddressed to all those who do competitive sports.
Did you know that over training is bad? You're supposed to push yourself to the limit, not go beyond what your body can actually do. If you let training take over your life, then you're overtraining. I know it's important to train and keep fit and stuff, but, at the same time, keep up your other interests too. Like, if you're a social butterfly, then you should hang out with your friends and not eat, sleep and breathe training. Actually, if you overtrain, you won't be able to perform to the best of your capabilities when it really matters, because your body will be tired because you forced yourself to run an extra 20 miles, or swim for another hour, even though you know you can't do it. If you overtrain, then the only way to recover is to take a couple of weeks/months off, and no athlete wants to do that. Sometimes, when your muscles feel slugish and weary and you can't actually do anything, the you know you are overtraining.
I sincerly hope i don't sound like your granny on this, but i think it's important, and you should, too.

TODAY'S CLUE FOR FAUZZI WAUZZI:
Fauzzi Wauzzi likes books but doesn't like to read

Hi ppl! So, the first night i couldn't sleep 'cause i was hungry. I dozed off eventually. So, the next morning i woke up feeling nasty and generally blah, you know. breakfast was, u guessed it, rice. biriyani, to be specific.
Before i go on, let me enlighten u about this problem i have: if i don't eat anythimg thr night before, and i eat the next morning, i threw whatever i ate in the morning. it happened to me in switzerand; it's called acidity. So, on the morning of the second day, Acidity Struck Back, since i sort of threw up all my rice. then everyone got really worried, like, "are you ok?" and "do you have a fever" and "would you like to go and take a rest in the sick bay?' . It was pretty good, being fussed over. But, the acidity went away and i went to join my group for the next activty, the Challenge Rope Course, or CRC.
Sometimes, in playgrounds, you have these excrecise area with things made from would and stuff, yeah, well the CRC area was like that, only 10 times bigger and a LOT scarier. I ws going on the tyre and rod thing. but when i started climbing the staples on the wooden pole, i chickened out and a climbed back down. Call me a coward, but it was SCARY, ok.
So, after a while, we went for morning tea. after the cake (we couldn't drink Milo cause it was spoilt) we went back to doing CRC. After CRC was SUPPOSED to be rock-climbing, but then the stupid rain came and ruined everything. We didn't go rock-climbing in the end:(, but we did more Campfire Preperations, you knoe, hone the whole thing, and stuff. Finally, when it stopped raining, it was time for rafting!we all cheered up at the prospect of going on the water on the rafts we made (which would be pretty risky, considerin that most of us had never even sailed before, let alone made a boat) but, luck was not on our side. We couldn't go on the water for 2 reasons:
a) It, had just stopped raining so the low tide was pretty dangerous and,
b) a crocodile had been sighted in the lake, so the camp people had decided it wasn't worth it to risk an arm or a leg.
But, we made a raft and learned two knots: the butterfly knot and something like crossfish, or something. After that, it started raining again, so we told jokes. Oh, and instructor Sherry told us this puzzle sort of thing. See, u have to figure out why fauzzi wauzzi likes this but doesn't like that.
I've decided i'll play this game. So, everytime i post something, i'l write something that fauzzi wauzzi likes and doesn't like. Today's is:
Fauzzi Wauzzi likes to sleep but does not like to go to bed. Figure it out! or try to, anyway.
Until next time!
PS. thanks for saying my blog is cool Jean. i really appreciate it :)

Yo!
So anyway, after the flying fox it was teabreak. while we were munching on swiss rolls and drinking coffee, it started to pour. have i told you about campfire prep already? i think i have. so anyway campfire prep was after flying fox. then it was wash up and dinner and our night activity: kidnap. one girl from each group was 'kidnapped' and the rest of the group had to look for her. this game had 3 stages, the first stage was, this search party of 5 ( party of 5 , geddit?) had to go look for the girl who was missing while the est had to solve his puzzle. the search party have 5 minutes to look for the girl. they must come back, and if the puzzle solvers aren't done yet, they have to go keep looking until they find the girl.
so, after 10 million years, when we FINALLY finished the puzzle( we were the last group, and everyone was asking me for the answer, cause i'm a math genius.......NOT!) and the search party found the girl, chief jeff gave us the list of places where we have to do the activities. this is the start of the second stage. see, the girl is 'tied up' at wherever, and we have to get two keys to 'untie' her. chief jeff has this box, with little drawers with keys of every group in it. you have to go to these locations which we found with the help of the map, and do an activity there. when we're done with the activity, we have to go back to the mph and choose a drawer to check(the drawers are numbered). for example, if you chose the drawer no. 13, chief jeff will look at the number on the key inside it. if the number on the key is your group ( if your group is '1' you must get two keys with the number '1' on it) . so we found the two keys ( eventually........) and we unlocked the girl.
but that's not the end. you have to carry the girl up to mph. we were oneof the last teams, but hey, it ws fun!
